I am no bird; and no net ensnares me: I am a free human being with an independent will.
At her dying uncle's last wish, young orphan Jane Eyre is sent to live with her widowed Aunt. In her new house, she experiences mistreatment at the hand of the family, and soon, her aunt is convinced to send Jane away to the Lowood Institution, a school for poor and orphaned girls. Throughout her time at Lowood, she experiences cold rooms, poor meals, and thin clothing. Grief from the death of her beloved friend brings her to a low point in her life as she struggles to get through.
Through time, she works through her schooling at Lowood and even becomes a teacher. She leaves the school to become a governess to a young French girl. There in nearby town, a one Mr. Rochester is thrown from his horse. Unbeknownst to Jane, Mr. Rochester is the master of the household in which she is employed, and the two soon begin to enjoy each other's company and they even develop feelings for one another. But there are mysterious happenings in the household…

How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
