Purchase options and add-ons
Elin Hilderbrand, author of the enchanting Summer People and The Beach Club, invites you to experience the perfect getaway with her sparkling novel, The Blue Bistro.
Adrienne Dealey has spent the past six years working for hotels in exotic resort towns. This summer she has decided to make Nantucket home. Left flat broke by her ex-boyfriend, she is desperate to earn some fast money. When the desirable Thatcher Smith, owner of Nantucket's hottest restaurant, is the only one to offer her a job, she wonders if she can get by with no restaurant experience. Thatcher gives Adrienne a crash course in the business...and they share an instant attraction. But there is a mystery about their situation: what is it about Fiona, the Blue Bistro's chef, that captures Thatcher's attention again and again? And why does such a successful restaurant seem to be in its final season before closing its doors for good? Despite her uncertainty, Adrienne must decide whether to open her heart for the first time, or move on, as she always does.
Infused with intimate Nantucket detail and filled with the warmth of passion and the breeze of doubt, The Blue Bistro is perfect summer reading.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 10, 2024I have read other Elin Hilderbrand books & really enjoyed them. For some reason I struggled to get into this book. I liked the storyline, setting, characters and reading about the cooking/restaurant world. The ending started pulling me in, and then it just ended.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2024I loved this story from the first page. It was fun reading along and seeing how Adrienne's character developed. The other characters were fun as well, but Adrienne mattered to me the most. If you're in search of a fun romance, you'll find it in the pages of The Blue Bistro.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 19, 2024Is a novel it was quite good and kept me going all the tedious at times. The restaurant information was a little shallow and I could’ve handled a little more of the drama that every restaurant lives with every day. The humor, the affairs, the customers, the meanest and the beauty of the back of the house and the drama that goes with every restaurant no matter how small or how big from now till eternity. But it’s a good read, go for it
- Reviewed in the United States on October 28, 2024Always enjoy her books . She is a great story teller.
This one is full of details on how a restaurant is run.
Her characters all come to life and are so interesting.
At the same time she draws us into a world very different from what is expected.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 21, 2024The characters, the food, the emotion that just keep you reading! I truly enjoyed this book. Erin has this way of capturing you and putting you right in the middle of everything that is happening, right in the moment. I can hear the sounds coming out of the kitchen, smell the food, hear the murmuring of the dining guests, the soft pop of the champagne and wine bottles opening. Great story, I’ll continue reading her books as long as they are published!

5.0 out of 5 stars Why isn't it available on Kindle?
A captivating novel which combines Elin Hilderbrand's twin loves: food and Nantucket. It's definitely one of her best so why isn't it available on Kindle? Nobody wants to buy an aged paperback with tiny font in 2024!

3.0 out of 5 stars A book about flossing your teeth
I read this author starting by The Nantucket Hotel, good story good characters good hollywood plot.
This book had plain characters, its predictable, not that I mind, but its the kind of predictability that leaves you feeling empty. I didnt connect with the characters and there were plenty of opportunities to get deeper on human matters, they are so shallow and the story is so simple i cant recommend it

Once more Hilderbrand takes you through the twisted tormented life of her undeniably romantic characters, Nantucket is the place where every lovestory starts..

4.0 out of 5 stars An easy read
I have read a number of Elin Hinderbrand’s beach town books and they are interesting, easy reads. It’s nice to revisit the resort hotels and restaurants with each read. The characters are endearing.
