² We always thank God for all of you, [regularly] mentioning you in our prayers. ³ We continually remember, in the presence of our God and Father, the work produced by your faith, the labor prompted by your love, and your endurance motivated by your hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. ⁴ We know, my brothers who are dearly loved by God, about your election [i.e., that you were chosen by God because of your obedient faith],

2 Thessalonians 1:11

See I Cor. 12:8-10], in your eagerness [to serve], and in your love for us, now you people should also excel in this favorable work [i.e., of giving financial help to needy people].
