⁵⁷ The Jews therefore said to him, Thou hast not yet fifty years, and hast thou seen Abraham? ⁵⁸ Jesus said to them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. ⁵⁹ They took up therefore stones that they might cast them at him; but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and thus passed on.
