²⁹ And Jerubbaal the son of Joash went and lived in his own house. ³⁰ And Gideon had seventy sons, begotten of his body. For he had many wives. ³¹ And his concubine, who was in Shechem, also bore him a son whose name he called Abimelech.

Judges 9:2

I pray you, speak in the ears of all the men of Shechem: Which is better for you, either that all the sons of Jerubbaal, seventy persons, reign over you, or that one reign over you? Remember also that I am your bone and your flesh.

Judges 9:5

And he went to his father's house at Ophrah and killed his brothers the sons of Jerubbaal, seventy persons, upon one stone. But Jotham, the youngest son of Jerubbaal, was still left; for he hid himself.
