So they took the body of Jesus and wrapped it in bandages with the spices, in accordance with the Jewish custom of preparing a body for burial. There was a garden at the place where Jesus had been crucified, and in the garden there was a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid. So, because it was the Jewish Preparation day and because the tomb was near by, they laid Him there.
Then they nominated two men, Joseph called Barsabbas, who was also called Justus, and Matthias.
By faith Joseph, at the closing of his life, made mention of the future migration of the Israelites, and gave directions what to do with his body.
