But if the unbelieving departeth, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases; but God hath called us to peace.
Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the deportment of the wives;
The Pharisees also came to him, tempting him, and saying to him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? And he answered and said to them, Have ye not read, that he who made them, at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they two shall be one flesh?read more.
Wherefore they are no more two, but one flesh. Therefore what God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. They say to him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? He saith to them, Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. And I say to you, Whoever shall put away his wife, except for lewdness, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoever marrieth her who is put away, committeth adultery.
But I say to you, That whoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of lewdness, causeth her to commit adultery: and whoever shall marry her that is divorced, committeth adultery.
Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them who suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.
Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace to the hearers.
If any man among you seemeth to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil-speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
