9 Bible Verses about Affections Should Not Grow Cold

and because lawlessness shall prevail, the love of the most shall grow cold;

but I have against thee, that thou hast left thy first love.

But you, may the Lord make to exceed and abound in love toward one another, and toward all, even as we also towards you,

They soon forgot his works; they waited not for his counsel:

as to diligent zealousness, not slothful; in spirit fervent; serving the Lord.

What then was your blessedness? for I bear you witness that, if possible, plucking out your own eyes ye would have given them to me.

I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot; I would thou wert cold or hot. Thus because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I am about to spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and am grown rich, and have need of nothing, and knowest not that thou art the wretched and the miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked;

And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in full knowledge and all intelligence,

And forgot his doings, and his marvellous works which he had shewn them.
