"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
But when you pray, go into your room, shut the door and pray to your Father, who is in secret; and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not use empty repetitions as the Gentiles do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, 'Give me a drink,' you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water."
And whatever you ask in my name, I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it.
If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in my name he may give you.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
And this is the confidence which we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.
