Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

He must increase, but I must decrease.

Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellers there is safety.

The king by judgment establisheth the land: but he that receiveth gifts overthroweth it.

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret? But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.read more.
Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
