If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments so as to carry them out, then I shall give you rains in their season, so that the land will yield its produce and the trees of the field will bear their fruit. I shall also grant peace in the land, so that you may lie down with no one making you tremble. I shall also eliminate harmful beasts from the land, and no sword will pass through your land. But you will chase your enemies and they will fall before you by the sword; five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and your enemies will fall before you by the sword. So I will turn toward you and make you fruitful and multiply you, and I will confirm My covenant with you. You will eat the old supply and clear out the old because of the new.

So the Lord commanded us to observe all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God for our good always and for our survival, as it is today.

“Now it shall be, if you diligently obey the Lord your God, being careful to do all His commandments which I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. All these blessings will come upon you and overtake you if you obey the Lord your God:

and you return to the Lord your God and obey Him with all your heart and soul according to all that I command you today, you and your sons,

Then the Lord your God will prosper you abundantly in all the work of your hand, in the offspring of your body and in the offspring of your cattle and in the produce of your ground, for the Lord will again rejoice over you for good, just as He rejoiced over your fathers; if you obey the Lord your God to keep His commandments and His statutes which are written in this book of the law, if you turn to the Lord your God with all your heart and soul.

So you shall keep My statutes and My judgments, by which a man may live if he does them; I am the Lord.

“But if the wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed and observes all My statutes and practices justice and righteousness, he shall surely live; he shall not die.

“If only you had paid attention to My commandments!
Then your well-being would have been like a river,
And your righteousness like the waves of the sea.

“If you consent and obey,
You will eat the best of the land;

And we are witnesses of these things; and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him.”

It will be righteousness for us if we are careful to observe all this commandment before the Lord our God, just as He commanded us.

for it is not the hearers of the Law who are just before God, but the doers of the Law will be justified.

Samuel said,
“Has the Lord as much delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices
As in obeying the voice of the Lord?
Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice,
And to heed than the fat of rams.

We know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is God-fearing and does His will, He hears him.
