A righteous man cares about his animal’s health,
but even the merciful acts of the wicked are cruel.

Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness. They will rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the livestock, all the earth, and the creatures that crawl on the earth.”

“Do not muzzle an ox while it treads out grain.

Know well the condition of your flock,
and pay attention to your herds,

But ask the animals, and they will instruct you;
ask the birds of the sky, and they will tell you.

Aren’t two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father’s consent.

for every animal of the forest is Mine,
the cattle on a thousand hills.
I know every bird of the mountains,
and the creatures of the field are Mine.

And to them, He said, “Which of you whose son or ox falls into a well, will not immediately pull him out on the Sabbath day?”

Look at the birds of the sky: They don’t sow or reap or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you worth more than they? Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was adorned like one of these! If that’s how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and thrown into the furnace tomorrow, won’t He do much more for you—you of little faith?

He protects His flock like a shepherd;
He gathers the lambs in His arms
and carries them in the fold of His garment.
He gently leads those that are nursing.

Do not plow with an ox and a donkey together.
