10 Bible Verses about Choosing Friends

He that maketh many friends doeth it to his own destruction; But there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

A friend loveth at all times; And a brother is born for adversity.

Better is open rebuke Than love that is hidden. Faithful are the wounds of a friend; But the kisses of an enemy are profuse.

The righteous is a guide to his neighbor; But the way of the wicked causeth them to err.

Walk with wise men, and thou shalt be wise; But the companion of fools shall smart for it.

Make no friendship with a man that is given to anger; And with a wrathful man thou shalt not go: Lest thou learn this ways, And get a snare to thy soul.

Be not deceived: Evil companionships corrupt good morals.

Be not unequally yoked with unbelievers: for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? or what communion hath light with darkness?

A scoffer seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not; But knowledge is easy unto him that hath understanding. Go into the presence of a foolish man, And thou shalt not perceive in him the lips of knowledge.

Iron sharpeneth iron; So a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.
