"Whoever in the open field touches one who is slain with a sword, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days.
And he buried him in the valley in the land of Moab over against Beth Peor: but no man knows of his tomb to this day.
It happened, after he had buried him, that he spoke to his sons, saying, "When I am dead, then bury me in the tomb in which the man of God is buried. Lay my bones beside his bones.
He was buried in his tomb in the garden of Uzza: and Josiah his son reigned in his place.

He said, "My son shall not go down with you; for his brother is dead, and he only is left. If harm happens to him along the way in which you go, then you will bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to Sheol."
If you take this one also from me, and harm happens to him, you will bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to Sheol.'
For the waves of death surrounded me. The floods of ungodliness made me afraid. The cords of Sheol were around me. The snares of death caught me.
Do therefore according to your wisdom, and do not let his gray head go down to Sheol in peace.
Who long for death, but it doesn't come; and dig for it more than for hidden treasures, who rejoice exceedingly, and are glad, when they can find the grave?

Let death come suddenly on them. Let them go down alive into Sheol. For wickedness is in their dwelling, in the midst of them.
But if the LORD make a new thing, and the ground open its mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain to them, and they go down alive into Sheol; then you shall understand that these men have despised the LORD."
Drought and heat consume the snow waters, so does Sheol those who have sinned.
The wicked shall be turned back to Sheol, even all the nations that forget God.
Let me not be disappointed, LORD, for I have called on you. Let the wicked be disappointed. Let them be silent in Sheol.
They are appointed as a flock for Sheol. Death shall be their shepherd. The upright shall have dominion over them in the morning. Their beauty shall decay in Sheol, far from their mansion.

As the cloud is consumed and vanishes away, so he who goes down to Sheol shall come up no more.
For in death there is no memory of you. In Sheol, who shall give you thanks?
set apart among the dead, like the slain who lie in the grave, whom you remember no more. They are cut off from your hand.
For Sheol can't praise you. Death can't celebrate you. Those who go down into the pit can't hope for your truth.
But God will redeem my soul from the power of Sheol, for he will receive me. Selah.
