Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.
So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification.

Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?
