So they prepared the present for Joseph’s coming at noon; for they had heard that they were to eat a meal there.

And he himself will show you a large upper room furnished and ready; prepare for us there.” The disciples went out and came to the city, and found it just as He had told them; and they prepared the Passover.
And Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, so that we may eat it.” They said to Him, “Where do You want us to prepare it?” And He said to them, “When you have entered the city, a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him into the house that he enters.read more.
And you shall say to the owner of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room in which I may eat the Passover with My disciples?”’ And he will show you a large, furnished upper room; prepare it there.” And they left and found everything just as He had told them; and they prepared the Passover.
When evening had already come, because it was the preparation day, that is, the day before the Sabbath,
Then the Jews, because it was the day of preparation, so that the bodies would not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
Therefore because of the Jewish day of preparation, since the tomb was nearby, they laid Jesus there.
Now it was the day of preparation for the Passover; it was about the sixth hour. And he *said to the Jews, “Behold, your King!”
Now on the next day, the day after the preparation, the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered together with Pilate,
But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your soul is required of you; and now who will own what you have prepared?’
But will he not say to him, ‘Prepare something for me to eat, and properly clothe yourself and serve me while I eat and drink; and afterward you may eat and drink’?
“Pass through the midst of the camp and command the people, saying, ‘Prepare provisions for yourselves, for within three days you are to cross this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which the Lord your God is giving you, to possess it.’”
Again he sent out other slaves saying, ‘Tell those who have been invited, “Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fattened livestock are all butchered and everything is ready; come to the wedding feast.”’
But he became hungry and was desiring to eat; but while they were making preparations, he fell into a trance;
Then he *said to his slaves, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy.
and at the dinner hour he sent his slave to say to those who had been invited, ‘Come; for everything is ready now.’
