And He said to his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat; nor for the body, what ye shall put on: the life is more than food, and the body than raiment. Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap; they have neither store-house nor barn, and yet God feedeth them: how much more worth are ye than the fowls?read more.
And which of you by all his thought can add one moment to his life? If then ye cannot do even the lest, why are ye so anxious about the rest? Consider the lilies, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: and yet I tell you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothe the grass which is to day in the field, and to-morrow is cast into the furnace, how much more will He clothe you, O ye of little faith?

Be anxious in nothing: but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known before God.

Let your conversation be free from covetousness, and be contented with what ye have: for He hath said, I will not leave thee; I will never, never forsake thee. So that we may say with courage, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time; casting all your care upon Him, for He careth for you.
