A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

Let his heart be changed from man's, and let a beast's heart be given to him; and let seven times pass over him.

One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever.

For lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone.

Thus saith the LORD; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, so that there should not be day and night in their season;

And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled; and after that he must be loosed a little season.

Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky, and of the earth; but how is it, that ye do not discern this time?

But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed to me according to the commandment of God our Savior;

Thus saith the LORD; If my covenant is not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;

Now learn a parable of the fig-tree; When its branch is yet tender and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.

And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon,

For though I made you sorry with a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent: for I perceive that the same epistle hath made you sorry, though it was but for a season.

Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in its season: he reserveth to us the appointed weeks of harvest.
