Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
"Do not think that I have come to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
So when the first came, they thought they would receive more; but each of them also received a denarius.
He said, "Yes." And when he came into the house, Jesus spoke to him first, saying, "What do you think, Simon? From whom do the kings of the earth take customs or taxes, from their sons or from others?"
What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains in search of the one that went astray?
"What do you think? A man had two sons; and he went to the first and said, 'Son, go and work in the vineyard today.'
Tell us, then, what do you think? Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?"
"What do you think about the Christ? Whose son is he?" They said to him, "The son of David."
Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels?
Do you think that I came to give peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division.
And Jesus answered them, "Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered this way?
I know and am convinced in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself; but if anyone regards something as unclean, then for him it is unclean.
When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; when I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.
What am I to do? I will pray with the spirit and I will pray with the mind also; I will sing with the spirit and I will sing with the mind also.
but in the church I would rather speak five words with my mind, to instruct others, than ten thousand words in a tongue.
Brethren, do not be children in your thinking; be infants in evil, but in thinking be mature.
Let those of us who are mature have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that also to you.
Consider what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything.
Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same purpose, because he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,
