whether there be any unrighteousness in my tongue, or vain words in my mouth.
He himself is not greater in the house than I, and hath kept nothing from me, but only thee because thou art his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, for to sin against God?"
Did I ever think scorn to do right unto my servants and maidens, when they had any matter against me?

{Nun} Thy prophets have looked out vain and foolish things for thee: they have not showed thee of thy wickedness, to keep thee from captivity; but have overladen thee, and through falsity scattered thee abroad.
Then said the deputy, "What evil hath he done?" And they cried the more saying, "Let him be crucified."
Pilate said unto them, "What evil hath he done?" And they cried the more fervently, "Crucify him."
He said unto them the third time, "What evil hath he done? I find no cause of death in him. I will therefore chasten him, and let him go loose."
Pilate answered, "Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and high priests have delivered thee unto me. What hast thou done?"
or else let these same here say, if they have found any evildoing in me, while I stand here in the council,
If the verity of God appear more excellent through my lie, unto his praise, why am I henceforth judged as a sinner?
Did I therein sin, because I submitted myself, that ye might be exalted? And because I preached unto you the Gospel of God freely?
But Jonathan answered Saul his father and said to him, "Wherefore should he die? What hath he done?"
"Let them therefore," said he, "which among you are able to do it come down with us and accuse him, if there be any fault in the man."
Cry with the throat and spare not. Lift up thy voice as a trumpet, and tell my people their offences and the house of Jacob their sins.
