and I give them everlasting life; and they shall never perish, nor shall any one tear them out of my hand. That which my Father hath given me is greater than all; and no one is able to tear [them] out of the Fathers hand.
At my first defence no one came forward with me, but all forsook me. May it not be laid to their charge! But the Lord stood by me, and strengthened me, that the preaching might be fully accomplished by me, and that all the gentiles might hear; and I was delivered out of the lions mouth. The Lord will deliver me from every evil deed, and preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom; to whom be the glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Blessed be God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who, according to his abundant mercy, begot us again into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance imperishable, and undefiled, and unfading, reserved in heaven for you, who are guarded by the power of God through faith unto a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time;
And fear not those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul; but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Fear not therefore; ye are of more value than many sparrows.
And I say to you my friends, Fear not those who kill the body, and after this can do nothing more. But I will warn you whom to fear; fear him who after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say to you, fear him. Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? and not one of them is forgotten before God.read more.

What shall we then say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things? Who shall bring any charge against the chosen of God? God is he who accepteth them as righteous.read more.
Who is he that condemneth? Christ is he that died, yea rather, who rose again, who is also at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ for us? Shall affliction or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword? As it is written, "For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we were accounted as sheep for slaughter." Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors, through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God for us, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
