We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that you receive not the grace of God in vain.

And indeed you do it toward all the brethren who are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that you increase more and more;

But I beseech you rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.

Dearly beloved, I beseech you as aliens and exiles, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

Strengthen you the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; he will come and save you.

But Joshua the son of Nun, who stands before you, he shall go in there: encourage him: for he shall cause Israel to inherit it.

But charge Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him: for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which you shall see.

Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teaches, on teaching; Or he that exhorts, on exhortation: he that gives, let him do it in simplicity; he that rules, with diligence; he that shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

Let every one of us please his neighbor for his good to edification.

Even so you, since you are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that you may excel to the edifying of the church.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Therefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also you do.

Rebuke not an elder, but entreat him as a father; and the younger men as brothers;

Preach the word; be diligent in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

Holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to refute the opposition.

These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise you.

But exhort one another daily, while it is called Today; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as you see the day approaching.

The diseased have you not strengthened, neither have you healed those who were sick, neither have you bound up those who were broken, neither have you brought again those who were driven away, neither have you sought those who were lost; but with force and with cruelty have you ruled them.

I have heard many such things: miserable comforters are you all.

Reproach has broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.

Because with lies you have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not turn from his wicked way, to save his life: Therefore you shall see no more false visions, nor practice divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and you shall know that I am the LORD.

But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours becomes a stumbling block to them that are weak. For if any man sees you who have knowledge eating in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him who is weak be encouraged to eat those things which are offered to idols;
