You search the Scriptures, because you think by them to have eternal life; and they testify of me; and you will not come to me that you may have life.

As his divine power has given us all things which pertain to life and piety, through the knowledge of him that has called us to his own glory and virtue,
He that believes on the Son has eternal life; but he that disbelieves the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God continues on him.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that every one believing in him may not perish but have eternal life.
