Remember the prisoners, as [though you were] fellow-prisoners; [remember] the mistreated, as [though] [you] yourselves also are being [mistreated] in the body.
I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you cared for me, I was in prison and you came to me.'
And Joseph's master took him and put him into prison, the place that the king's prisoners were confined. And he was there in prison.
in connection with which I suffer misfortune to the point of {imprisonment} as a criminal, but the word of God is not bound.
{Settle the case quickly with your accuser} while you are with him on the way, lest your accuser hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the officer, and you be thrown into prison.
"But before all these [things], they will lay their hands on you and will persecute [you], handing [you] over to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and governors because of my name.
But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the prison and led them [out] [and] said,
Thus Peter was kept in the prison, but prayer was fervently being made to God by the church for him.
Now about midnight, Paul and Silas were praying [and] singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.
And he released the one who had been thrown into prison because of insurrection and murder, whom they were asking for, but Jesus he handed over to their will.
And [after] the jailer was awake and saw the doors of the prison open, he drew [his] sword [and] was about to kill himself, [because he] thought the prisoners had escaped.
For as you are going with your accuser before the magistrate, make an effort to come to a settlement with him on the way, so that he will not drag you to the judge, and the judge will hand you over to the bailiff, and the bailiff will throw you into prison.
But he did not want to, but rather he went [and] threw him into prison until he would repay what was owed.
Bring me out of prison, that I may give thanks to your name. [The] righteous will encircle me, because you will deal bountifully with me.
For he came out of the prison house to reign, {since he was born poor in his kingdom}.
Now [when] John heard in prison the deeds of Christ, he sent [word] by his disciples
And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. And immediately all the doors were opened and all the bonds were unfastened.
And the officials were angry at Jeremiah and they struck him. And they put him [in] {prison}, [in] the house of Jonathan the secretary, for they had converted it to the {prison}.
Now when Herod was about to bring him [out], on that [very] night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and guards before the door were watching the prison.
saying, "We found the prison locked with all security and the guards standing at the doors, but [when we] opened [them], we found no one inside!"
But Paul said to them, "They beat us in public without due process--men who are Roman citizens--[and] threw [us] into prison, and now they are wanting to release us secretly? Certainly not! Rather let them come themselves [and] bring us out!"
Do not be afraid of [the things] which you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw [some] of you into prison so that you may be tested, and you will experience affliction ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
except that the Holy Spirit testifies to me in town [after town], saying that bonds and persecutions await me.
I was a stranger and you did not welcome me as a guest, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not care for me.'
And behold, an angel of the Lord stood near [him], and a light shone in the prison cell. And striking Peter's side, he woke him up, saying, "Get up {quickly}!" And his chains fell off of [his] hands.
to open [the] blind eyes, to bring [the] prisoner out from [the] dungeon, those who sit [in] darkness from [the] house of imprisonment.
Know [that] our brother Timothy has been released, with whom I will see you, if he comes quickly [enough].
[After he] had arrested {him}, he also put [him] in prison, handing [him] over to four squads of soldiers to guard him, intending to bring him {out for public trial} after the Passover.
And the chief of the prison put all the prisoners that [were] in the prison into the hand of Joseph. And everything that was done there, he [was] the one who did [it].
And when the thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from his prison
But this [is] a people plundered and looted; all of them are trapped in holes, and they are kept hidden in houses of imprisonment. They have become like plunder, and there is no one who saves; [like] booty, and there is no one who says, "Restore!"
But Saul was attempting to destroy the church. Entering {house after house}, he dragged off both men and women [and] delivered [them] to prison.
For I was hungry and you did not give me [anything] to eat, I was thirsty and you did not give me [anything] to drink,
But remember me when it goes well with you, and please may you show kindness with respect to me, and mention me to Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house.
Now [when he] heard that John {had been arrested}, he withdrew into Galilee.
But the officers who came did not find them in the prison, and they returned [and] reported,
