'Discern' in the Bible
I am presently eighty years old. Am I able to discern good and bad? Can I taste what I eat and drink? Am I still able to hear the voices of male and female singers? Why should I continue to be a burden to my lord the king?
Is there any falsehood on my lips? Can my mouth not discern evil things?
To learn wisdom and moral instruction, and to discern wise counsel.
To discern the meaning of a proverb and a parable, the sayings of the wise and their riddles.
You who are naive, discern wisdom! And you fools, understand discernment!
