'Sets' in the Bible
If you ever take your neighbor’s cloak as a pledge, you are to return it to him before the sun sets,
But when the sun sets, he will be clean, and afterward he shall eat of the holy gifts, for it is his food.
‘Nevertheless, anything which a man sets apart to the Lord out of all that he has, of man or animal or of the fields of his own property, shall not be sold or redeemed. Anything devoted to destruction is most holy to the Lord.
“When the camp sets out, Aaron and his sons shall go in and they shall take down the veil of the screen and cover the ark of the testimony with it;
You shall give him his wages on his day before the sun sets, for he is poor and sets his heart on it; so that he will not cry against you to the Lord and it become sin in you.
‘Cursed is the man who makes an idol or a molten image, an abomination to the Lord, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and sets it up in secret.’ And all the people shall answer and say, ‘Amen.’
For a fire is kindled in My anger,And burns to the lowest part of Sheol,And consumes the earth with its yield,And sets on fire the foundations of the mountains.
“God is my strong fortress;And He sets the blameless in His way.
“He makes my feet like hinds’ feet,And sets me on my high places.
So that He sets on high those who are lowly,And those who mourn are lifted to safety.
Who commands the sun not to shine,And sets a seal upon the stars;
“He breaks in pieces mighty men without inquiry,And sets others in their place.

But He sets the needy securely on high away from affliction,And makes his families like a flock.
Who executes justice for the oppressed;Who gives food to the hungry.The Lord sets the prisoners free.
Also, the sun rises and the sun sets;And hastening to its place it rises there again.
For wickedness burns like a fire;It consumes briars and thorns;It even sets the thickets of the forest aflameAnd they roll upward in a column of smoke.
In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah:“We have a strong city;He sets up walls and ramparts for security.

“This sentence is by the decree of the angelic watchersAnd the decision is a command of the holy ones,In order that the living may knowThat the Most High is ruler over the realm of mankind,And bestows it on whom He wishesAnd sets over it the lowliest of men.”
He was also driven away from mankind, and his heart was made like that of beasts, and his dwelling place was with the wild donkeys. He was given grass to eat like cattle, and his body was drenched with the dew of heaven until he recognized that the Most High God is ruler over the realm of mankind and that He sets over it whomever He wishes.
Or what king, when he sets out to meet another king in battle, will not first sit down and consider whether he is strong enough with ten thousand men to encounter the one coming against him with twenty thousand?
Brethren, I speak in terms of human relations: even though it is only a man’s covenant, yet when it has been ratified, no one sets it aside or adds conditions to it.
