A Biddulph Methodist chapel has been put up for sale to the public.

The building on Biddulph Park Road is new on the market for £130,000 after its previous occupants, Oasis Community Church, decided to relocate.

The building is for sale now on Zoopla with Timothy A Brown estate agents.

The property's listing states: "Timothy A Brown are delighted to offer for sale this well maintained semi detached rural Methodist chapel, located in the hamlet of Biddulph Park, approximately two miles from Biddulph town centre. Great development potential (subject to planning permission).

"Biddulph Park Methodist Chapel was originally built circa 1860 as a Wesleyan Chapel, and offers accommodation of great charm and character. There is a good head height, making provision of a second floor possible (subject to planning consents) and scope for adapting the Chapel according to requirements, such as for a dwelling/studio/office (subject to planning consents).

"Located within the picturesque rural locality of Biddulph Park and surrounded by countryside. The twisting country lanes are interesting to explore and offer enjoyable walks and are suitable for horse riding, as are the well known walking routes of the 'Gritstone Trail' and Staffordshire Way nearby, Rudyard Lake with Steam Railway and the Biddulph Valley Way bridle path. National Trust Biddulph Grange gardens and country park nearby.

"The town of Biddulph offers a good selection of pubs, restaurants and fitness centre, whilst still having a variety of outdoor pursuits including scenic walks in Staffordshire and the Peak District National Park. The town centre boasts Sainsburys, Argos, butchers, florists and newsagents as well as essential services such as chemists, doctors and dentists.

"Practically the towns of Congleton, Leek and Macclesfield are within 3,9 and 12 miles respectively. Congleton has a thriving range of facilities with the railway station providing links to the national rail network and connections to frequent expresses to London. Equally the historic market town of Leek is just a short drive away, with its cobbled market place, unspoilt architecture and variety of independent shops, antiques and award winning tea shops."
