The Billy Graham Channel Returns to SiriusXM Through Father’s Day

By   •   May 24, 2018

The Billy Graham Channel is back on SiriusXM Channel 145 through June 17.

From seasoned truck drivers to young mothers, The Billy Graham Channel on SiriusXM has been blessing those who stumble across it during its limited-time runs. Now it’s back by popular demand.

The Billy Graham Channel—currently a “pop-up” channel that airs from time to time on SiriusXM channel 145—can be heard again through June 17 (Father’s Day)Listen now on the SiriusXM website.

Listen for New Content, Including a Special Father’s Day Message

As a direct result of listener feedback, the pop-up channel includes Billy Graham messages that haven’t aired on SiriusXM before. In fact, Kirkland says about a quarter of the messages are new.

On Father’s Day (Sunday, June 17), channel 145 will present the eulogy Franklin Graham shared during his father’s funeral service in February. It will air at 6, 9, 12, and 3—both a.m. and p.m.—in all North American time zones throughout Father’s Day.

Once the pop-up channel goes away (at 3 a.m. ET on Monday, June 18), listeners will have to wait until the end of the summer for the next round of messages.

“We’ll return in late August for another limited run,” Kirkland said. “Also for three weeks in November for Thanksgiving and to mark what would have been Billy Graham’s 100th birthday. Then we’ll celebrate Christ’s birth and ring in 2019 with another run.”

Make plans to tune in, and be sure to tell a friend. As BGEA continues to hear how God has used The Billy Graham Channel to reach people, there’s no telling who could stumble across the life-changing hope of Christ when the Gospel is shared once again.

‘It Changed My Life’

The last time The Billy Graham Channel aired, in the weeks following Mr. Graham’s death on Feb. 21, comments and “thank you” messages poured in from across the country.

“So thankful for channel 145 on Sirius radio,” Glen Chapman wrote. “I hope you can keep it on. I am a truck driver, and all his messages are so helpful.”

“I stumbled on it by accident,” wrote Cayenne Noe. “It changed my life, and it helped me more than anything on understanding [the Gospel]. Thank you. [Billy Graham] is my mentor. I am 24 years old, married, with a 2-year-old.”

Josh Ross simply wrote, “The best thing to happen to my SiriusXM is The Billy Graham Channel. Let’s make this a full time channel.”

Jim Kirkland, executive director of audio media for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, said, “Folks who subscribe to SiriusXM have told us through every means available—Twitter, texts, Facebook, phone calls, emails—that they’re hungry for more messages, for more of the hope found in Jesus Christ.

“To have the privilege to relay, ‘We hear you, and so does SiriusXM!’ is all joy for our audio media services team.”
