Dan's Supermarket celebrated the grand opening of its newest Bismarck location Wednesday.
The new store, 3103 Yorktown Drive, is smaller than the company's 11th Street and Washington Street locations. Despite its smaller size, Ralph Dockter, vice president of retail operations, said it feels about the same and offers the same level of service.
The store is open 24 hours and features a Gateway Pharmacy, Capital Credit Union and will soon offer postal service.
The location is probably the store's biggest asset, said Dockter, who reported the store has been open for two weeks and has had a strong response from the surrounding neighborhood.
"So much of supermarket shopping now is a convenient location," Dockter said. "People stop on their way home from work or picking the kids up from school."
