Easy measurement of temperature and humidity in SPA

High humidity at indoor pool & SPA can pose a significant problem in terms of structural damage and associated follow up problems.
Proper monitoring and humidity control of the area around your indoor pool is key to preventing the development of mold, mildew, rot and corrosion damage due to excessive moisture.
Humidity can be a problem in general, but specifically present at indoor pools can often evaporate chlorinated water, which can add that extra aggressive addition that cause damage to the surrounding of your pool, particularly tiles and metal hardware.
In terms of general “spa experience”, high humidity leads to a bad indoor environment, which eventually leads to a bad bathers experience.
To understand the processes of evaporation and dehumidification, you need to think of the air as a mixture humid air, mix of dry air and water vapor.
Air expands when it’s warming and contracts when it’s cooling. When air is warmed up it will hold more water vapor, and when it cools down it holds less water vapor. When the air cools down significantly it reaches the dew point, meaning that the air saturates and the water vapor condenses as water.
The dew point is a crucial term in relation to the dehumidification of indoor swimming pools.
Humid air will condense on a cold surface when the temperature of the cold surface is below the dew point.
To avoid indoor pool high humidity problems, recommendations is to maintain relative humidity on 50% to 60%.

HI95654

Thermo-hygrometer with dew point
and calibration data recording probe
HI95654 is a portable thermo-hygrometer designed to measure temperature and Relative Humidity (RH).
HI95654 can also calculate the dev point from the temperature and RH. To ensure maximum protection against the effects of humidity and condensation, the instruments are housed in a rugged, water-resistant casing.
The temperature and RH probe is a “smart probe” which consists of a factory calibrated electronic sensor which requires no user calibration.
Our “smart probes” will work with any of our meters without the need to recalibrate the electronic sensor tracks the performance and stores the calibration history directly onto the probe.
