Ryan Jones has been named Associate Vice Chancellor of Advancement at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, effective May 1, 2025. In this role, Jones will organize and coordinate fundraising efforts across the UTC campus and lead the team of fundraising professionals across the university’s academic, athletics and student support service areas.

Dr. Kumar Yelamarthi named dean of UTC’s College of Engineering and Computer Science
Dr. Kumar Yelamarthi has been named dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS), effective July 1. Yelamarthi comes to UTC from Tennessee Technological University, where he has served since 2021 as associate dean of academic affairs in the College of Engineering. In that role, he supported more than 3,100 students and 85 faculty members across seven departments and 18 programs.

Rollins College of Business, the Max Fuller Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. This $5 million gift will further the center’s mission to inspire discovery, innovation and entrepreneurial initiatives at UTC and the entrepreneurship community in Chattanooga and beyond.
