I'm so jealous. Beautiful

Looks just like my old race bike minus the FS stuff of course.

Re: 1981 Torker MX

Thanks so much guys.
I really couldn't be happier with this one. it's been a long time coming. and feels great since my first Real bike (besides my Raliegh R-10)... was a Torker. coming back to my own roots with this one :)

Here are some more detail shots:

There's a peg under the pedal in most of the shots...
then, a little magic made it disappear. :)

Thanks for the comments guys. :)

Haha, yeah.. they're probably the roughest thing on the bike.

Those gold levers are HARD to track down.  Actually I had a Heck of a time finding gold parts for this bike.... Most of the parts I used - DO have a "used" look to them. I wanted it all go together.

The wheels are a little rough in spots, and the fork  has some chipping chrome - It all looks pretty authentic - as far as wear... but Yes.. the levers are the worst of it. :)

I even bought a set of NOS Gold Speedline Wheels for the bike, but ended up going with the used ones to match the rest of the bike. That was a tough call. :)

Re: 1981 Torker MX

Matt, slap a gold Gyro on this sucker!!!  That would look awesome!!!  :)

My Father once spoke to me and said "The way you look at your bike is the way I see My children, I look past the imperfections and rough surfaces to the beauty of the finished product."

Re: 1981 Torker MX

A couple things here, first I dont usually like gold, but WOW!  This is just really Fantastic! This looks so sharp!  I also want to comment on how awesome your photos are.  I honestly think as nice as your bike would be with a garage door behind it, The setting puts this OVER THE TOP!  A++

Re: 1981 Torker MX

Nice. The GH mx forks look great on it... not all forks work right on that frame.

Seriously considering a torker/redline midlife crisis project ^_^

Re: 1981 Torker MX

WOW!! Love the torker. Always wanted one as a kid. Take the front brake off and put some track tires on it and it would be perfect. :D Can you tell Im into racing and not freestyle?

Great job! Hope I can do such a nice job when I get my early 8o's Torker... Someday.

Re: 1981 Torker MX

I know exactly what kind of magic that made the bike stand on own, its not god, its not Harry Potter nearby, it's called photoshop. BTW That is one sweet build you got there, SUPER SWEET !

So good, it should end up in the centerfold and the cover of Playboy Magazine ! with lots of Chicks all over it !

Cheers !
