BaT Event Coverage: Meet-Up at Arizona Car Week B+BS Show with OTTO Car Club

We got an early start on the final Saturday of Auction Week in Scottsdale, as did the BaT community who came out in droves to join us at OTTO Car Club’s B&BS show.

Attendees began arriving in earnest well before first light. When the sun eventually did rise over the horizon, it illuminated a chilly January morning sky and streets already packed with an eclectic collection of steel and glass.

Standouts were everywhere, from Koenigseggs to kei cars. Favorites for the BaT crew included a Ferrari 308 GT2 club racer, a near-perfect Deuce coupe, a V8-powered Volvo 1800, Bruce Canepa’s striking green 959 SC Reimagined, a custom 6×6 Chevy S10 pickup in full In-N-Out regalia, @silverarrowcarsltd in a steel gray over lipstick red Gullwing on matching Rudges, and so many others (check out the color-shifting TVR Tuscan in the gallery). One of the most popular Bat listings of 2024 even made an appearance!

Big thanks are due to our partners in this endeavor, OTTO Car Club (a BaT Local Partner). Their facility is truly impressive, and they made everyone feel welcome with plenty of food and coffee, live music, and automotive eye candy displayed on the floor and stacked sky high in their storage racks. The bibbed child above may have been the only attendee prepared for the amount of drool-worthy hardware on the premises.

Attendees received commemorative posters at the BaT tent and rubbed shoulders with the likes of Chris Harris, Alex Roy, and Nicole Johnson along with community luminaries like @sludgo, @Caymanorcarrera, @Todd_Z., @Type44, and @911r. BaT’s own Randy Nonnenberg, Howard Swig, and Alex Porter were there as part of the BaT team. A detailing clinic on a notably filthy NSX was run by the crew at @AdamsPolishes.

Once again, our friends at Michelin USA are generously supplying new sets of tires for select vehicles. The chosen recipients were @xAZxE30x, a two-time BaT buyer who brought the 1991 BMW 325i Coupe that he purchased from its long-term second owner in December 2024. The tires currently mounted are Michelins—but with 2002 date codes, they’re long overdue for replacement. Another two-time buyer on BaT, jimsbug, showed up dark and early in a lovely green Porsche 914 that he’s owned for over 40 years, and according to him, has never left the Salt River Valley. The car rolled in on nine-year-old Hankooks that could stand updating, so we’re happy to hook it up with some fresh rubber. Congrats to you both—we’ll be reaching out!
