This 1955 Ford F-100 pickup is powered by a 460ci V8 paired with an automatic transmission, and it is finished in custom gold and red paint over a color-coordinated interior. The engine is said to have been been modified with Edelbrock cylinder heads, a Comp Cams camshaft, a Quick Fuel Technology carburetor, an Edelbrock intake manifold, a Mallory Ignition distributor, a March Performance pulley kit, an Automotive Racing Products oil pump, an aluminum radiator, and tubular exhaust headers. The front suspension was adapted from that of a Dodge Dakota with rack-and-pinion steering and front disc brakes. Other equipment includes a Ford 9″ rear end, Weld Racing 15″ wheels, a front-hinged fiberglass hood, HID headlights, a power-operated cowl vent, a wood-lined cargo bed, Dakota Digital gauges, power windows, a Sony touchscreen head unit, and a backup camera. The truck was refurbished between approximately 2010 and 2021 while under the care of multiple owners, and it was acquired by the selling dealer in 2024. This modified F-100 is now offered with an Ohio title.
Finished from the factory in Killarney Green (G), the truck was repainted during the aforementioned refurbishment in two-tone gold and red, which is separated by chrome-style painted accents. Ford V8 graphics adorn the “smoothie” tailgate, which abuts to a Pro’s Pick replacement pickup bed and is positioned above LED taillamps and rectangular dual exhaust outlets. A kit from No Limit Engineering allows the fiberglass hood to tilt forward to open. Other features include running boards, dual side mirrors, a power-operated cowl vent, HID headlights, a double-bar grille, and a chrome front bumper. Seller-noted imperfections include a blemish on the driver-side bed rail, a scuff on the leading edge of the hood, and a dent on the lower portion of the driver door. The seller also states that the passenger-side door will require adjustment to close smoothly.
Bright-finished Weld Racing 15″ wheels are mounted with 215/65 front and 295/50 rear BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. A front-end kit from a Dodge Dakota was installed in 2020 along with drop spindles. The truck is equipped with power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering as well as front disc brakes and rear drums.
The wood planks lining the cargo bed are separated by bright trim strips. The custom fuel tank is filled via a cap on the bed floor.
The custom interior houses bucket seats trimmed in tan and red vinyl upholstery. The Sony touchscreen head unit has an integrated backup camera, and additional interior appointments include two-tone body-color metal surfaces, power windows, a power-adjustable driver seat, a Lokar shifter, seatbelts, carpeting, sun visors, and a dome light. Vintage Air climate controls are stationed in the dashboard, although the seller notes that the heater and evaporator are inoperative and the air conditioning system does not work.
The Grant GT steering wheel is attached to an Ididit column. Dakota Digital VHX gauges are composed of a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer shows 25 miles, and true chassis mileage is unknown.
The 460ci V8 reportedly was rebuilt in 2017, and it is augmented with a Quick Fuel Technology carburetor, an Edelbrock intake manifold, Edelbrock cylinder heads, Ford Racing rocker covers, a Comp Cams camshaft and lifters, a Holley fuel pump, an Automotive Racing Products oil pump, a Mallory Ignition distributor, a March Performance pulley kit, a Cold-Case aluminum radiator, and tubular exhaust headers. The vehicle has been converted to utilize a 12-volt electrical system and a wiring harness from American Autowire. The valves were adjusted in 2020. The truck’s chassis number indicates that it was originally powered by a 239ci V8.
The automatic transmission was rebuilt in 2020, according to the seller, and it is linked to a Ford 9″ rear end with 3.25:1 gearing. The dual exhaust system encompasses Borla mufflers.
The Ohio title lists a “non-actual warning: odometer discrepancy” mileage notation.
