434 Stroker-Powered 1957 Chevrolet 210 2-Door Sedan 5-Speed

This 1957 Chevrolet 210 two-door sedan was acquired by the seller in 2017 and subsequently fitted with a 434ci stroker V8 that was assembled by American MotorSports in Florida. The engine utilizes a Dart Block, AFR cylinder heads, a custom camshaft, a billet timing set, and a Holley carburetor atop an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, and power is routed through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission and a 9″ rear end with a spool and 4.11 gears. The car rides on QA1 front coilovers and rear shocks as well as 17″ US Mags wheels that are mounted over CPP front disc brakes, and further equipment includes long-tube headers, LED exterior lighting, and traction bars. The exterior was refinished in red under prior ownership, and the cabin is outfitted with an aftermarket stereo and speakers, a Hurst shifter, Classic Instruments gauges, and gray vinyl upholstery. This 210 is now offered with refurbishment records, spare parts, a car cover, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The car was repainted in the current shade of red during the refurbishment in the 1990s, and details include Bel Air-style trim, twin wind splits, hooded headlights, dual exhaust outlets, LED headlights and taillights, a fuel filler concealed above the left taillight, and chrome bumpers and trim.
US Mags 17″ wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich g-Force Comp 2 tires measuring 225/55 up front and 235/55 out back. The car rides on adjustable QA1 front coilovers and rear shocks that were fitted in 2023, and it is further equipped with power steering and traction bars. Braking is provided by CPP front discs and factory-style rear drums.
Dynamat sound-deadening material was applied throughout the cabin before replacement carpets were installed during the build. The split-folding front bench seat is upholstered in gray vinyl with red piping, and matching trim extends to the rear bench and door panels. Amenities include Bel Air-style trim, a digital cassette stereo, aftermarket speakers, and a Hurst shifter.
The smaller-than-factory steering wheel was fitted to a tilt column during the build, and it frames a suite of Classic Instruments gauges including a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and readouts for coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure. The fuel gauge is not functional, and a replacement sending unit is included in the sale. The odometer was reset at the completion of the build in October 2019, and it currently shows 2,800 miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The small-block 434ci stroker V8 was assembled by American MotorSports of Orlando, Florida, and installed in 2019. It was assembled with a Dart block, AFR aluminum cylinder heads, a billet adjustable double-roller timing set, a custom-grind camshaft, an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, MSD ignition, a Holley carburetor, and Ultra Pro Magnum rockers. A dynamometer report from October 2019 lists a peak output of 526 horsepower and 522 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec TKO600 five-speed manual transmission and a Quick Performance 9″ rear end with a spool, 35-spline axles, and 4.11:1 gears. Long-tube headers flow to a dual exhaust system with over-the-axle pipes and polished finishers.
The included dealer invoice lists Ferman Chevrolet of Tampa, Florida, as the initial selling dealer. The car was featured in the June 2024 issue of The American Tri-Five magazine, and the sale includes records, literature, historical photos of the car, a replacement fuel-sending unit, and a car cover.
