1965 BMW R69S
This 1965 BMW R69S was acquired by the seller in 2019 and subsequently refurbished in Dover White with black pinstripes. Power is from a 594cc opposed-twin paired with a four-speed transmission, and the bike features 18″ alloy rims, a driveshaft, a black saddle, a chrome low-rise handlebar, bar-end turn signals, bar-end mirrors, an Earles fork, a side stand, and dual Bing carburetors. This R69S is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with a bike cover, a Scorsch Meier two-up seat, and a clean California title.
The bike has been refinished in Dover White with black pinstripes, and the bike features a black solo saddle as well as black rubber knee grips, a frame-mounted air pump, a cargo rack, a fuel tank storage compartment, and both center and side stands.
Wire-spoke wheels with 18″ alloy rims wear Heidenau tires. Suspension is provided by an Earles fork as well as preload-adjustable shocks mounted to the swingarm on the left and the final-drive housing on the right. Braking is handled by front and rear drums.
The chrome low-rise handlebar carries bar-end mirrors and turn signals, and it fronts a 120-mph speedometer and a pair of indicator lights. The five-digit odometer shows 24k miles, approximately 10 of which were ridden under current ownership.
The 594cc opposed-twin features dual Bing carburetors and was factory rated at 42 horsepower.
Power is sent to the rear wheel through a four-speed transmission as well as a driveshaft enclosed within the right leg of the swingarm.
The headstock plate indicates that this bike is a R69S with serial number660083, and photos showing the numbers stamped on the frame and engine case can be viewed in the gallery.
