This 1966 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 is one of approximately 460 Series II examples produced between 1965 and 1967 and was completed around August 1966. Chassis 8845 is said to have been purchased and placed in storage by its second owner in 1971 before being sold to the selling dealer in 2013. Subsequent work included a repaint in silver, replacement of the exhaust system, and a rebuild of the servo-assisted disc brakes. Power is provided by a 4.0-liter Colombo V12 that breathes through triple Weber carburetors and is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Additional features include a limited-slip differential, servo-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, coil-spring suspension with Koni shock absorbers, 15” Campagnolo center-lock wheels, red leather upholstery, and power windows. This 330 GT 2+2 is now offered by the selling dealer at no reserve with invoices from current ownership, a tool kit, and a clean California title.
The 330 GT was designed as a longer-wheelbase successor to the 330 America and debuted at the Brussels Motor Show in January 1964 with Pininfarina styling featuring a rounded rear profile with wraparound taillight assemblies and a quad-headlight front fascia. Revisions for the model’s second series in 1965 included single headlights, three-louver fender vents, and bumpers with rubber-lined overriders.
This example was stripped to bare metal and repainted in silver during a refresh performed between 2017 and 2021, which also included metalwork on various panels. The front bumpers and overriders were replaced during the project, as were various glass and body seals. Features include a Talbot driver-side mirror, front and rear quarter vent windows, and quad ANSA exhaust outlets.
The Campagnolo wheels were media-blasted and powder-coated in silver during the refresh, at which time 205VR15 Pirelli Cinturato tires were mounted. Stopping is handled by servo-assisted disc brakes with a dual-circuit master cylinder and a single Dunlop booster. Work performed under current ownership included rebuilds of the calipers, turning of the rotors, and replacement of the master cylinder and hoses.
The cabin is trimmed in red leather over the 2+2 seating as well as over the door panels and console, while contrasting black upholstery covers the dash and door caps. Additional features include red carpeting, color-keyed lap belts, a Pininfarina-branded ashtray, a wood dash fascia hosting a lockable glovebox, and power windows.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel sits ahead of Veglia instrumentation including a 300-km/h speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges monitoring oil temperature and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 34k kilometers (~21k miles), less than 1k of which have been added under current ownership. A quartet of instruments to the driver’s right includes a clock and gauges monitoring coolant temperature, amperage, and fuel level.
The 4.0-liter Colombo Tipo 209 V12 breathes through triple Weber carburetors and was factory rated at 300 horsepower. The carburetors were cleaned and synced during the refresh under current ownership.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via an all-synchromesh five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Suspension incorporates an independent front setup and a leaf-sprung solid-axle rear end, with coil springs and Koni telescopic shock absorbers at all four corners.
There is currently a lien on the car, and the owner’s lender will need to be paid off before the title can be transferred to the new owner.
