This 1968 Ford Mustang coupe was factory-equipped with an X-code 390ci V8 along with the Sprint Package B and a three-speed Cruise-O-Matic transmission. It was acquired by the seller in 2019, reportedly from the second owner, and subsequent work included a repaint in the current shade of red and an engine rebuild. Further equipment includes an aluminum radiator, MagnaFlow mufflers, 15″ styled steel wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, fog lights, hood vents, white C-stripes, and front bucket seats trimmed in red vinyl as well as a Custom Autosound stereo, a custom armrest console, and air conditioning. This Mustang X-code coupe is now offered with an Elite Marti Report, the Ownercard, original sales documentation, service records, and a clean Georgia title in the seller’s name.

The car left the factory finished in Royal Maroon, and it was repainted in 2019 according to the seller. Details include hood vents, fog lights, white C-stripes, and polished rocker panel moldings. Imperfections are displayed in the gallery, and the front marker lenses are cracked.

The 15″ styled steel wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel discs. The idler arm, tie rod ends, and power steering assembly were replaced in December 2019. The power steering system has an intermittent “catch” that pulls left, according to the seller.

The front bucket seats and rear bench are upholstered in red vinyl, and shoulder belts are fitted for the front occupants. Appointments include a floor shifter, a Custom Autosound stereo, and air conditioning.

The steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 93k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership.

The X-code 390ci was factory equipped with a two-barrel carburetor, and the engine was rebuilt in December 2023, which included replacing the pistons, rings, camshaft, lifters, pushrods, valve guides, and various gaskets and seals. It is further fitted with an aluminum radiator, a PerTronix Flame Thrower distributor, and a blue single-snorkel air cleaner.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission that was rebuilt in 2011. The differential was fitted with replacement 3.25:1 ring and pinion gears in August 2018, at which point the transmission mount, differential bearings, and pinion crush sleeve were replaced. The dual exhaust system features an H-pipe and MagnaFlow mufflers. Corrosion is noted on the underbody.

The Elite Marti report includes a reproduction door tag and window sticker along with documents displaying factory equipment and production statistics.
