This 1984 Mercedes-Benz 380SL has remained registered in Illinois since new and now shows 50k miles. The car is powered by a 3.8-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and is finished in Signal Red over black leather upholstery. Equipment includes a black soft top, a removable hardtop, 14″ Bundt alloy wheels, fog lights, an Alpine CD stereo, electric windows, cruise control, and air conditioning. Acquired by the selling dealer in 2024, this R107 is offered with a clean Carfax report and a clean Illinois title.

The two bucket seats are upholstered in black leather, and interior equipment includes electric windows, cruise control, air conditioning, and an Alpine stereo linked to aftermarket rear-mounted speakers.

The four-spoke steering wheel has been wrapped in two-tone tan and black leather and frames VDO instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 50k miles.

The 3.8-liter V8 was factory rated at 155 horsepower and 196 lb-ft of torque. The timing chain, timing chain tensioners, and valve covers were replaced in 2017. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. The transmission fluid was changed in 2022, and the shifter bushings were replaced in 2023.
