1987 Porsche 928 S4
This 1987 Porsche 928 S4 spent time in Florida before it was acquired by its current owner in 2005, and it now shows 56k miles. Finished in Grand Prix White over Lipstick Red leather, the car is powered by a 5.0-liter DOHC V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transaxle. It is also equipped with a sunroof, a rear spoiler, pop-up headlights, integrated fog lights, forged aluminum 16″ wheels, air conditioning, cruise control, heated and power-adjustable front seats, and a Pioneer CD stereo. Service in 2020 included replacing the timing belt, crankshaft gear, oil pump gear, camshaft sprockets, timing belt tensioner and rollers, and drive belts. This 928 S4 is offered in Connecticut by the seller on behalf of the owner with service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean New York title in the owner’s name.
The car is finished in Grand Prix White. Exterior details include a sunroof, a rear spoiler, a rear window wiper, pop-up headlights, integrated fog lights, and body-color mirror caps. The outer window seals were changed in 2020. Close-up photos of blemishes are presented in the gallery below.
Forged aluminum 16″ wheels are mounted with older Michelin front tires and Yokohama rear tires, the latter of which have visible cracks in the sidewalls. The car is equipped with vented disc brakes at each corner as well as front and rear stabilizer bars. Replacement tie rods and steering rack boots were installed in 2017.
The seats are trimmed in Lipstick Red leather. Appointments include air conditioning, cruise control, heated and power-adjustable front seats, and a Pioneer CD stereo. The air-conditioning system was serviced in 2018 and fitted with a replacement pressure switch in 2021.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a 180-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, oil pressure, and voltage. The six-digit odometer shows 56k miles, approximately 25k of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.0-liter DOHC V8 features LH-Jetronic fuel injection, and factory-rated output was 316 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. Work in 2018 included replacing the intake manifold gasket, knock sensor, idle control valve, mass airflow sensor, and spark plugs as well as servicing the fuel system with a replacement fuel pressure regulator, pressure dampers, and injector clips. The thermostat was changed in 2019, while the timing belt was replaced in 2020 along with the timing belt tensioner gasket and rollers. Additional service in 2020 included replacing the following components:
- Crankshaft gear
- Camshaft sprockets
- Oil pump gear

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transaxle, which was fitted with a replacement filter in August 2018.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Florida, Illinois, and New York from its first entry in April 1991.
