This 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Brougham is a two-owner car which was purchased new at Action Oldsmobile in Livonia, Michigan. It was purchased from the original owner in 1992 by the manager in charge of detailing at the original dealership. The body was repainted in the original color in 1994, and is described to have been a second car not used in inclement weather while with the current owner. This Cutlass features a Flowmaster exhaust and is being offered on behalf of the second owner with a Michigan title in their name.
The body was repainted in its original color in 1994, and was fitted with new weatherstripping at that time. The car retains stock trim, badging, wheels, and the more aerodynamic composite headlights which came to the G-Body Cutlass in 1987. A spare factory power antenna, and extra factory weatherstripping are included with the sale. The rear windows have been tinted, and BF Goodrich raised white letter tires fitted.
The current owner detailed the car prior to delivery to its original owner in December of 1987, and the audit sticker from their detail is still present on the car.
The blue velour interior is unmodified save for a newer aftermarket headunit, and has been maintained by a professional detailer for weekend use. It is equipped with matching Oldsmobile-branded floor mats. All of the interior features work correctly, including the power seats, A/C, and power windows. The 5-digit odometer shows 23k miles, though it is said to have rolled over once.
The delivery audit is still present under the rear decklid, dated 12-3-1987 and signed by the second owner.
All final-year G-Body Cutlass Supreme Classics used Oldsmobile’s 307 cubic inch V8, rated at 140 horsepower when new. This example is mechanically unmodified apart from a Flowmaster exhaust and K&N air filter. The last service was an oil and filter change in fall 2016. Each spring, the owner has the car serviced at the dealership where he works. No printed service records have been retained.
Several photos of the car’s underside are provided in the gallery below. Per the seller, rust is limited to the bottom of the doors, as shown in the gallery, and minor spots in the door jambs.
The Carfax begins reporting in 1991, and ends in 2014. No issues are shown over the car’s life in Michigan with the long-term owner.
