This 2002 Chrysler Prowler was delivered new to Hartford Motors in White River Junction, Vermont, and was acquired by the selling dealer in 2017. Work since then involved applying a chrome-look vinyl wrap to the body and installing replacement bucket seats trimmed in red leather. Now with 234 miles, the car is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 paired with a four-speed automatic transaxle and rides on staggered-diameter five-spoke wheels. Additional equipment includes a black convertible soft top, air conditioning, cruise control, an Infinity sound system, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, and a six-disc CD changer. This Prowler is now offered by the selling dealer in Massachusetts with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, two key fobs, the removed factory seats, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean Florida title.
The car is finished in Inca Gold and wears a chrome-look vinyl wrap that was applied under current ownership, at which time the hood was also wrapped in carbon-look material. Further details include split front and rear bumpers with integrated lights as well as cycle-style front fenders, dual exhaust outlets, and a black manually operated convertible top that stows in the rear-hinged trunk.
Chrome-finished five-spoke 17″ front and 20″ rear wheels are mounted with Goodyear Eagle GS-D tires. The suspension utilizes coilovers mounted inboard of the narrow front bodywork, and braking is from four-wheel ventilated discs.
Replacement bucket seats upholstered in red leather have been fitted and are joined by color-matching material that extends to the shift knob, center console lid, and sun visors. The Autostick shifter allows manual gear selection of the automatic transaxle, and appointments include air conditioning, cruise control, an Infinity sound system, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, and a six-disc CD changer.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames an AutoMeter tachometer while a carbon-look instrument panel in the center of the dashboard houses a 150-mph speedometer and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 234 miles, approximately 30 of which have been added by the selling dealer.
The 3.5-liter V6 features an aluminum block and was factory rated at 253 horsepower and 255 lb-ft of torque.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a torque tube and a rear-mounted four-speed automatic transaxle.
The window sticker shows initial delivery to Hartford Motors in White River Junction, Vermont, and lists factory colors, equipment, and a total price of $45,850. Manufacturer’s literature, a front license plate bracket, an Infinity sound system demonstration CD, and two key fobs will accompany the vehicle.
The removed factory seats trimmed in black leather are included in the sale.
The Carfax report shows at least one open recall.
