McLaren 720 Engine Table
This coffee table was constructed in 2024 by the seller, Ben’s Auto Decor, utilizing a dressed McLaren twin-turbo V8 reportedly sourced from a 720S. The engine block has been cut away to expose the internal componentry, and the crank can be rotated usiing a custom handle on the flywheel. The engine retains cylinder heads, exhaust manifolds, and turbochargers, and it is mounted in a custom chrome powder-coated frame accented by McLaren logos and topped by glass. This McLaren M840T V8 engine coffee table is now offered by the seller at no reserve in Atascadero, California.
The engine table is based on a McLaren twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter M840T V8 engine with a flat-plane crank as used in the McLaren 720S. The block is finished in orange, while cutaway sections expose the internal components including the crankshaft, pistons, and connecting rods. The engine retains its twin turbochargers and exhaust manifolds.
The rectangular glass tabletop measures approximately 60″ long by 36″ wide, and the table is 22″ high and incorporates a McLaren logo at each end. A chrome powder-coating finish has been applied to the frame and McLaren logos.
The seller notes the engine can be turned over using a handle affixed to the flywheel that will move the exposed internal components, and the engine table is mounted to a pallet in a shipping crate and bears a plaque identifying the seller’s fabrication company that built the table.
