That is square tubing that was welded to brace the door opening. That was placed there during the passenger floor pan and rocker panel replacement. With those panels removed there is no structure to keep body from doing weird things. With welded brace in place that eliminates that risk. Thank…

Also hood was replaced with a nice one. If you notice in the pic of the day I bought it. It had a dent that looked like it had hit a fence post or something. Found a nice straight hood and replaced it as well
