Jen Shinjuku on Instagram: "Personally I'd avoid going to Japan in summer but if that's the only time you can go, then here are some tips to stay comfortable in the heat 🥵  FYI this assumes you'll be hitting up the normal tourist spots like Tokyo and Kyoto (up in the Japan alps or up north in Hokkaido will be a lot cooler obviously!)   A rough guide per month: - June is the rainiest month so always have an umbrella with you - July is the real start of summer, with rain starting to die down in the latter part of the month and the heat increasing - August is peak typhoon season with super high humidity  - September still feels more like summer than autumn, but the weather can be unpredictable.
