Police investigating the disappearance of 24-year-old Kyle Vaughan from Newbridge have released two people arrested in connection with the inquiry.
A 27-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man both from the Cwmfelinfach area arrested on suspicion of murder on Tuesday have been released on bail pending further inquiries.
The last believed sighting of Mr Vaughan, who is diabetic, was on the A467 between Risca and Crosskeys, some time between 11pm and 11.45pm on Sunday December 30 2012. It is believed he was wearing a dark coloured beanie hat, a dark coloured t-shirt, three-quarter length denim shorts, white trainers, and a gold chain.
On the same night at approximately 11.45pm, officers found Kyle’s car – a silver Peugeot 306 – which had been involved in a collision although it is not known whether he was driving it.

- A 62-year-old man from the Newbridge area arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice – released on police bail pending further inquiries.
- A 21-year-old Newbridge man on suspicion of assisting an offender – released on police bail pending further inquiries.
- A 15-year-old boy from Abercarn arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender – released on police bail pending further inquiries.
- A 27-year-old man from Blackwood arrested on suspicion of murder – released on police bail pending further inquiries.
- A 22-year-old woman from the Newbridge area on suspicion of perverting the course of justice – released on police bail pending further inquiries.
- A 27-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man both from the Cwmfelinfach arrested on suspicion of murder – released on police bail pending further inquiries.
