In the Spring of 2009, in the middle of a recession, Tad Carpenter officially kicked open the doors to start a new design and branding studio. Over the last ten years, our team team has expanded along with our passion for design. We love design. We love the clients we get the opportunity to work with and truly hope we get to continue doing this for 100 more years. It has been a dream come true to be a part of the team behind Made in the Middle—a design and creative conference celebrating creatives from the Midwest. We recently wrapped up our 2018 conference in Kansas City, Missouri which included amazing parties, a full day of 10+ workshops followed by a full day of inspiring lectures from 7 creative leaders from around the country.

In the recent September/October issue of Midwest Living, Carpenter Collective partners Jessica and Tad Carpenter’s home and design studio, Carpenter Collective are proudly featured. Within the feature the two discuss how their creative partnership spills over into their home and where many of their interior finds come from.

A new limited edition poster design for the bands recent tour stop in Kansas City, MO while no kidding, playing in The Crossroads. Each poster uses beautiful and shiny metallic silver ink.

Every year we design something for the holidays to send to our friends, clients and loved ones. In the past we have designed board games, design and packaged toffee, made letterpress greeting cards sets and ornaments. This year, we designed custom wrapping paper, hang tags and a silkscreen holiday card. Happy Holidays!

It’s been a wild ride seeing my Wonder book jacket become the symbol for the Wonder Kindness Movement and now a major motion picture starring Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson and Jacob Tremblay.

KC’s Westport Middle School has been transformed into Plexpod’s newest coworking space utilizing, the original classrooms, lockers and hallways. We created three murals in the new space.

With limited time and budget, we turned a 2-color gig poster for Father John Misty into a 3-color poster for Father John Misty.

We created this new, 3-color silkscreen poster for the iconic band, Violent Femmes on their recent “We can do Anything” tour stop in Kansas City.
