Palm Beach County School District has given the all clear following a bomb threat at Jupiter high school Tuesday morning.

Jupiter school officials say they are releasing students back to school.

"If a parent feels they want to take their kid home, you can check them out," said PBC School District spokeswoman Kathy Burstein.

The spokeswoman tells CBS12 they respond to each threat seriously. "These are fluid situations," said Burstein. "Our priority is to keep students safe."

CBS12's Lynda Figueredo was at Jupiter high school and says parents were not pleased. They wanted their students released to them, not to go back to classes.

The bomb threat came via email and caused Jupiter high school to evacuate around 8:15 a.m Tuesday.

Students were moved to the Jupiter Community Center, which is next door to the high school.

The Jupiter Police Department assisted the Palm Beach County School District in response to the threat. Police searched the campus.

A voluntary parent pick-up created long lines outside the Jupiter campus as parents waited for their children's release.

Jupiter school officials say the students are safe and will return to class.
