DIY Glitter Cookie Cutter Ornaments

By Kate Riley December 22, 2024

Ho ho ho friends, Christmas is just 3 days away! Our house is ready to welcome guests for dinner on Christmas Eve, it feels good to have the presents wrapped and the menu planned.

I recreated an easy craft project from many years ago, this time with copper, it’s so simple and festive. The base is already there for you, you simply add glitter and they become the sweetest ornaments, embellishments, or gift toppers.

I found two sets of copper cookie cutters at HomeGoods a few weeks ago, then purchased glitter glue and gold glitter from Michaels. These make cute and conversational ornaments.

The steps are easy and simple. Paint on glitter glue to the inside and outside of the cutters, sprinkle with loose glitter, and allow to dry for 24 hours.

They look very sweet tied to a present as a gift topper.

On the tree, hang them all by themselves or tie them up with ribbon.

Also a few more favorite DIY ornament projects from the archives:

clay leaf ornaments

state love ornaments

paint stroke ornaments

gilded shell ornaments

The Weekend Reading series resumes next week!
