Ingredient Notes

Please check the recipe card below for a detailed, printable ingredient list.

CUCUMBERS – I prefer English cucumbers (also known as hothouse cucumbers) for this recipe.

TOMATOES – You’ll want to use grape or cherry tomatoes for this recipe.

FETA CHEESE – Good feta cheese makes our taste buds sing. I prefer to buy feta cheese in brine because you’ll get a lovely salty boost.

Feta Cheese cut into bite sized pieces.
Salad On A Stick - Cucumbers and Feta cheese
Tomato, feta, and cucumbers each neatly threaded onto a wooden skewer.
  1. CHEESE – Cut the block of feta cheese into bite-sized squares.
  2. VEGGIES – Slice the cucumber twice lengthwise so you’ll have little triangles. Next, cut the cherry tomatoes in half.
  3. ASSEMBLY – Use a small skewer and assemble.

Recipe Success Tips

Because Feta cheese is such a flavorful ingredient, you won’t need to add additional seasoning.

The first time I prepped Salad On A Stick the night before the event, I was a bit nervous. Cucumbers can be pretty watery. And I feared that I might wake up to a tray full of runny salad skewer mush.

Thankfully, that didn’t happen. Instead, this simple Greek Salad inspired skewer looked perfect the next day. And it became an instant crowd pleaser.

That’s a great appetizer idea. We have a bunch of people coming over for the Super Bowl and not everybody likes chicken wings!
